OMAR VICTOR DIOP

Omar Victor Diop developed an interest in Photography and Design, essentially as a means to capture the diversity of modern African societies and lifestyles. 

The quick success of his series“Le Futur du Beau’ in 2011 encouraged him to end his career in Corporate Communications and embarks into photography. 

His work is known for capturing the diversity of modern African societies and lifestyles. His series ‘Studio des Vanités’ (2013) is greatly influenced by historical African portraitists. ‘Diaspora’ (2014) and ‘Liberty’ (2017) explore the role of black Africans in History and their quest for freedom. 

 

His work is regularly exhibited around the world and is part of prestigious public and private collections such as the Brooklyn Museum, Fondation Louis Vuitton, The Pigozzi Collection, Agnès b. and the JP Morgan Chase collection.
